My back still hurts, pretty badly, It didn’t hurt too much this morning, but once I got going…yeah, it hurts. The scene: 25 second-graders all sitting in Actor’s Neutral on their stars. Me standing in front of the classroom, but trying to sit down without sending a stabbing pain to my back. I finally sit. Second-grader: A thousand years later. Then I laughed. Hard. I’m posting early today! I only worked a 1/2 day because I have other commitments. Second-graders are working on Storytelling. Specifically telling stories about themselves. To start it off, I told them the story about how my finger got chopped off, by the big metal vestibule door when I was in third-grade while playing Kissing Tag. When I got to the part about a boy pulling the door closed chopping my finger off… 2nd Grader: Did you say SHIT? Me: probably. Then I just continued with the story and everything was fine. #dailyelementarymusings #itsagoodyear #focusonthepositive

Today was a full class time of puppeteering, and let me tell you…These third graders picked it up so quickly and came up with amazing ways to manipulate their puppets - which BTW, they made - and bring them to life!

I’m such a great teacher! This happened in my Kindergarten class today and I just let it. I also got the hiccups during this class. I drank some water, but hiccuped right when I swallowed, so…yeah…water everywhere. They didn’t go away…my hiccups are loud. They hurt. And apparently are hi-freaking-larious to kindergartners.
