These Kindergartners made their puppets today! Considering the fact that EVERYTHING has gone ‘not as planned’ for this unit…These puppets are freaking incredible! AND!!! One of the downsides of working at two schools is that sometimes I somehow (I blame menopause, among other things) forget things, like today when I went to pull out stuff I needed for my planned lesson and…it wasn’t there, so I had to scramble for something…I have my yellow bandanas at this school, so to the rescue they came… These first graders made connections (would normally use ribbons) with the bandanas. This is what they told me their creations were: Group 1 : An axolotl Group 2: An elephant Group 3: A banana So…yeah. I knew, even before I got dressed this morning, that the Valentines Day “theme” was gonna be a thing… I am not lying when I say that every single kiddo grades K - 3 who I had in my classroom today had something to say about my sweater or my earrings. The 4 - 6 graders are way to cool to comment on those things except for that one group of kiddos (you know the ones).
