After six incredibly difficult classes, I was super nervous for my fifth graders to come in (they are NOT easy…not even a little), after a rough start (no surprise), we played MY version of Two Truths And A Lie. Two Lies and a Truth Three students are all telling a story about the same thing. Each student writes the “title” of their story and their name on a piece of paper: “How I almost got kidnapped” “How a chihuahua ate my slice of pizza” “That time I cracked my head open” “When I stabbed my brother with a fork” “When I got stitches on my butt” Etc… I call three kiddos up, I say, “We are gonna hear the story about __________________________ .” Then, the storytelling begins. After all three are finished telling their story, we vote for the Truth Teller. This school has some pretty incredible liars! I mean storytellers.
